Andrew Harper’s Q Club Adds BeautifulPlaces
To Its New Signature Villas and Yachts Program
May 23, 2006
Andrew Harper, famed among affluent travelers
for his incognito searches for the best accommodations
worldwide, has added several BeautifulPlaces
properties to his recently introduced Harpers
Q Club Signature Villas and Yachts portfolio
(www.andrewharpertravel.com).
His company, Andrew Harper Travel, bills itself
as “the ultimate authority on luxury travel
and hotels.” Harper has gained a reputation
among travelers for his two-decade practice
of visiting notable destinations worldwide incognito
to see for himself if they live up to luxury
standards. He lists only those properties that
meet his criteria.
BeautifulPlaces is a wine-and-food-oriented
lodging company that markets and manages the
rental of Napa and Sonoma villas to travelers
seeking memorable, unique wine country experiences.
Founded in 2003, the company now has more than
40 homes in its collection, which is the largest
of its kind in Northern California.
“We’re extremely gratified by Harper’s decision
to include us in its collection of signature
homes,” says Patrick Smith, BeautifulPlaces
president and CEO. “We see it as recognition
by an industry leader that we’ve reached the
very high standards we set for ourselves three
years ago.”
“Andrew Harper’s Q Club welcomes Beautiful Places
to our Signature Villa collection,” says Jim
Haupt, Executive Director of the club. “This
is an exceptional grouping of concierge-style
homes for the discriminating traveler. To qualify
as a Signature Home, the rental must offer superior
services and a professional staff to insure
that guest stays are an extraordinary experience.”
Eos Airlines Chairman David Pottruck, a member
of BeautifulPlaces’ advisory board, agrees that
the partnership is a good one. “There’s a growing
travel market of discriminating, affluent food-and-wine
lifestyle enthusiasts,” he says, “and Harper’s
inclusion of BeautifulPlaces homes in his new
collection shows how aware he is of that trend.
It’s a tribute to BeautifulPlaces’ concept and
execution that its villas fit Harper’s luxury
criteria so well.”
BeautifulPlaces (www.beautiful-places.com) is
listed on the Harper web site under “Harper
Villas” in the subsection titled “Signature
Homes – California.”
