Glass House - Sonoma County

What we love about Glass House

For those seeking drama in design, setting and décor, Glass House is the perfect wine country home. This newly built home – floating above the tree line off a private road - features walls of glass with breathtaking views from every room. The two covered patios are ideal for morning coffee…or afternoons watching colorful sunsets as you enjoy a glass of wine from one of the many local wineries. Outdoors you’ll find a peaceful entertaining area – relax by the pool on sleek loungers, soak in the spa, play a fun game of bocce, watch the birds soar above you and dine poolside on a picnic lunch from a local market or prepare a delicious meal on the BBQ.

What could be better after an active day of exploring the local vineyards, shops and markets than to come home and chill out on the living room’s large contemporary sectional surrounding the fireplace and television...or just curl up in the den with a good book on your iPad!

Good to Know

Glass House is located at the top of Trinity Road one of the mountain roads connecting Napa and Sonoma in a secluded setting. Foodies will love the open kitchen with natural wood cabinetry, mirrored backsplashes and a huge center island ideal for preparing foods, buffet service and casual dining. The décor – fresh from the pages of today’s designer magazines – is modern and minimal with touches of Asian artwork and accessories.

Eat, Drink & Play

Just beyond this villa’s private drive is Trinity Road, which leads you west to Glen Ellen and Sonoma or east to Napa. In less than 20 minutes, you can arrive to any one of these destinations for a day of discovering the wines and foodie flavors of this renowned region. The first junction on the way to Napa will bring you to Oakville Grocery, a gourmet market and world-famous deli that we highly recommend making a pit stop at before continuing on to other sought after locales. All in all, it wouldn’t be a complete visit to wine country without visiting the following:
  • Mayo Family Winery
Lunch outside in Mayo’s picnic area and experience the mouthwatering flavors of their chef’s wine pairings
  • Glen Ellen
Come visit the quaint village of Glen Ellen and see why author and adventurist Jack London fell in love with its surroundings
  • Napa
Take a drive to the iconic city of Napa for first-rate entertainment, culinary adventures of a lifetime and, of course, some of the most famous wine in the world
  • Oakville Grocery
Gourmet sandwich and salad selections, fresh baked goods, local wines: the perfect spot to gather supplies for your wine country picnic
  • Sonoma
Travel south to the town of Sonoma with its beautiful plaza, encircled by boutiques, wineries and restaurants and historical landmarks
  • Robert Ferguson Observatory
Housing one of the largest telescopes in Northern California, this observatory is located within the Sugarloaf State Park and hosts monthly sun and star gazing events
  • Hanzell Vineyards
Called “one of the most influential producers in California’s winemaking history”, this is the winery our guests tell us is one of their favorite wine discoveries in Sonoma
  • Santa Rosa
A pleasant ride to the city of Santa Rosa takes you to a more urban setting, replete with upscale shops, restaurants and attractions like the Charles Schulz “Peanuts” museum and the Safari West Wildlife Preserve
  • Sonoma Raceway
In one corner of the tranquil region of Sonoma, the roar of engines and squealing of tires signal that you’ve found Infineon Raceway, scene of record-breaking auto and motorcycle races, and arguably the world’s busiest racing facility with 340 days a year of events
  • Sonoma Coast State Park
Scenic hiking trails, sunsets over the horizon and sandy dunes await you at this Northern California beach destination
  • San Francisco
In just over an hour, you can be crossing the iconic Golden Gate bridge and immersing yourself in the vibrant and fast-paced life of the city by the bay
