The, 18-hole Ugolino Golf Club outside of Florence is 90 minutes away.

History:

This property was purchased in the last decade of the 20th Century and underwent a total renovation. Owned by a renowned interior designer, the villa is a beautiful stone-brick building and the vast majority of the furniture and amenities are conceptualized, designed, and manufactured by the owners themselves. In fact, most of the home decor and furnishings – from the handmade soaps and olive oils, to the embroidered towels and bathrobes, to the dining table – can be purchased from an interior design catalogue.

Description:

The natural entrance is through the back garden area which is situated off of the main parking area (there are 4-5 covered parking spaces and plenty of uncovered driveway space for many more vehicles). The first thing you encounter when entering the back garden area is a large, covered dining area with a large external barbeque, brick-oven, and open dining area for 14. There is a separate, external, covered living room and bar area which is located right next to the swimming pool. The bar area enjoys a small refrigerator, stereo with CD player, a couch and seating area. There is yet another external dining area for 14 located under a beautiful tree situated in the garden, next to the swimming pool. The wonderful built-in pool enjoys lounge chairs for sunbathing and boarders a vegetable garden and garden area ripe with olive trees and small vineyards. There is truly a plethora of external seating out in the garden and external dining areas. The stone swimming pool enjoys a diving board and there is a private Jacuzzi situated behind a secondary garden area. The external area also boasts a ping-pong table.

The two story villa enjoys a ground floor with great living room with stone fireplace, a separate reading room with beautiful, built-in bookshelves, and lots of couches and comfortable sitting and reading chairs. The reading room flows directly into the simple dining room which has a large, square dining table which can seat all of the house guests or be divided into smaller dining tables. The kitchen, situated next to the dining room, boasts a 10-range stovetop, a double oven, a T.V., slicer, toaster, and large refrigerator & freezer. There is also a laundry room with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and ice machine.

The sleeping area on the ground floor starts off of the living room, where two bedrooms are located. The first bedroom is a French double with en-suite shower and built-in closet. The second bedroom is a twin with en-suite bathroom. There is also a ½ bath in the corridor.

Up a set of 15 steps leads up to the main bedroom floor. To the left of the staircase lies a twin bedroom with built-in closet and en-suite bathroom with shower and a second, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. To the right of the staircase lies a third, twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, bordering a large living & dining room with a comfortable seating area and couches, a large flat-screen T.V., a lovely stone fireplace, a dining table for 8, and a second, small, but cute and fully functional kitchen, fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, oven, 5-range stovetop. On the opposite site of the living room lies the master bedroom. The master double bedroom has a foyer with a daybed, a closet, en-suite bathroom with separate bathtub and shower unity, and a vanity desk.

There are also two, external bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom enjoying an en-suite bathroom. The second external bedroom is a twin bedroom with a small living room and couch (where one person could sleep). This bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower box. These two external bedrooms are located off of the main kitchen and parking area and can be communicating or independent.
