David Pottruck
Pottruck, chairman currently CEO and Chairman of Red Eagle Ventures, Inc., a private equity management company, and former CEO of the Charles Schwab Corporation, joined the advisory board of BeautifulPlaces in September 2005. Pottruck is also chairman and CEO of Red Eagle Ventures, a San Francisco private equity firm, and has been a director of Intel Corporation since 1998. In addition, he is Senior Advisor for Golden Gate Capital, and Senior Advisor to Diamond, a publicly held strategy and technology consulting firm. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Leadership and Change Management at the Wharton School of Business. In 2000, Pottruck co-authored a best-selling book, Clicks and Mortar – Passion-Driven Growth in an Internet-Driven World.


Evan Goldstein
Goldstein, one of only 124 master sommeliers worldwide, is vice president of global wine and brand education for Beam Wine Estates, where he manages the worldwide marketing, sales and distribution of Beam’s global wine brands, including Cockburn’s Port and Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry. Goldstein is the author of "Perfect Pairings: A Master Sommelier's Practical Advice for Partnering Wine with Food." He also travels and speaks extensively at food and wine and travel conferences on behalf of American Express.


Patricia Duffy
Currently an independent marketing consultant, Patricia's corporate experience included 13 years at American Express. In her last position there. Patricia was Vice President, Travel Supplier Relations for American Express Travel. Generating income of more than $350 million annually, her team was responsible for all override negotiations and airline, hotel, car rental, cruise line and tour operator relationships. Prior to that, Patricia was Vice President, Establishment Services for American Express where she was responsible for marketing for all US restaurants accepting the American Express Card; national and international hotel chains; and key US entertainment venues ranging from Radio City Music Hall to Disney and Ticketmaster. Earlier in her career, Patricia spent seven years in advertising –both on the agency and client side of the business. Her service industry focus included airlines, restaurants and financial services/insurance. Patricia and her husband, John Duffy, purchased and lovingly restored an abandoned farmhouse in Tuscany where they spend as much time as possible.
