Casa Sebastiani - Sonoma County

What we love about Casa Sebastiani

To call Casa Sebastiani home is to know the true definition of comfortable wine country living; come settle at this Tuscan-inspired, vineyard estate and be prepared to stay a while. Located on a small knoll overlooking the renowned Sebastiani Winery, Casa Sebastiani shares its veranda views with you just as it did for the prominent wine family who stood here in generations past. Surrounded by shady oaks, fragrant citrus trees and endless rows of grapevines, this six bedroom, five bath home enjoys an element of old-world hospitality, with its arched entries, deep porches, and expansive terraces for everyone to find their own personal hangout spot. Original features of the home are still in tact and remind you of its historic origins, including vintage bathroom tiles and wrought iron railings. Featured in prominent travel publications, including Today.com and the Examiner, Casa Sebastiani continues to gain notoriety for its setting and immediate air of welcome, with a size and scale that is perfect for groups of families and friends traveling together. Spend your Sonoma days under the sun around the pool, sipping on a glass of Sebastiani Zin while admiring ‘your’ vineyards, or in the traditional kitchen cooking up a feast with hearty Italian recipes from Sylvia Sebastiani’s popular cookbook, Mangiamo! Let’s Eat.

Good to Know

Arched windows and doorways out to the lower veranda are a hallmark of the congenial indoor-outdoor lifestyle treasured by wine country residents. Casa Sebastiani’s stunning hilltop setting not only serves as the perfect backdrop for al fresco dining, it also means there are numerous stairways weaving through the property which lead you from one scenic nook and crannie to the next. At Casa Sebastiani, we urge you to curl up into one of these cozy viewpoints with a good book and savor the sun-kissed scenery all around you. Choosing where to dine will most likely be one of the tougher decisions you make during your time at Casa Sebastiani — the veranda has a long carved stone table that seats 16, while less formal meals can be shared at the six person table in the kitchen. While the home has been upgraded to modern standards over the decades, it still retains much of its historical charm and antiquated features. Rich in spirit, this a place where you will want to share memories with your friends and family and create new traditions of your own for years to come.

Eat, Drink & Play

At Casa Sebastiani, you will feel as if you have been transported to the heart of the Italian countryside, even though you are less than an hour drive from the vibrant streets of San Francisco. Whether you are a city resident looking for a convenient weekend getaway or a group traveling from further away, Casa Sebastiani is located within close proximity to international airports and main thoroughfares, yet still retains an intimate sense of seclusion and privacy for all of its guests. From here you can drive, bike or walk to the iconic town square of Sonoma, where boutique shops, art galleries, wineries and world-famous restaurants await. In the daytime, take a drive north to discover the beauty and fertile landscape of the Sonoma Valley Appellation; in the evenings, walk across the street to Sebastiani Winery for wine pairings. Other points of interest nearby Casa Sebastiani include:

  • Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery
This is a place that has been connected to a significant part of Sonoma Valley’s history ever since 1904 when Samuele Sebastiani acquired the vineyards of the Franciscan fathers who originally planted them in 1825. "We had a great time. Loved, loved, loved Casa Sebastiani! It was so warm and comfortable. We would stay there again and would highly recommend it to our friends. Great food at Willi's Seafood and the little pizza shop in the Square in Sonoma. Shopping was great in the Square and in Healdsburg. We had great experiences at all the wineries we visited. My top choice was Bella...I could go on and on! Thank you so much for helping with the surprise. All was a great success. I would also use you/your company again for accommodations. "
